Treatment Groups
In Data Science, Treatment Groups refer to a set of subjects or units that receive a specific intervention or treatment in a study or experiment. The purpose of creating treatment groups is to compare the effects of the intervention or treatment with a control group that does not receive the intervention or treatment. Treatment groups are commonly used in randomized controlled trials, where subjects are randomly assigned to either the treatment or control group. The treatment group is then exposed to the intervention or treatment, while the control group is not. The outcomes of the treatment group are then compared to the outcomes of the control group to determine the effectiveness of the intervention or treatment.
