UTC
Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) is the primary time standard by which the world regulates clocks and time. It is one of several closely related successors to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). For most purposes, UTC is considered interchangeable with GMT, but GMT is no longer precisely defined by the scientific community. UTC is used by international organizations, military, aviation, weather forecasters, and other entities for timekeeping and coordination of time-dependent activities. UTC is based on International Atomic Time (TAI), with leap seconds added to keep it within 0.9 seconds of UT1, which is based on actual rotation of the Earth. UTC is widely used in data science and artificial intelligence applications to ensure consistency and accuracy of time-related data across different time zones and locations.
