Tensor Processing Units (TPUs)
Tensor Processing Units (TPUs) are custom-built application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs) designed by Google specifically to accelerate machine learning workloads. TPUs are optimized for TensorFlow, a popular open-source machine learning framework, and can perform matrix multiplication operations much faster than traditional CPUs or GPUs. TPUs are available on Google Cloud Platform and can be used to train and run machine learning models at scale. TPUs are designed to work seamlessly with TensorFlow, allowing users to take advantage of their high performance without needing to modify their code. TPUs are particularly useful for large-scale machine learning workloads, such as training deep neural networks on massive datasets.
