Hypothesis
In data science, a hypothesis is a proposed explanation or prediction for a phenomenon that can be tested through experimentation or observation. It is a tentative assumption made in order to draw out and test its logical or empirical consequences. In the context of statistical inference, a hypothesis is a statement about a population parameter that is being tested using sample data. The hypothesis can either be null, which assumes that there is no significant difference between two groups, or alternative, which assumes that there is a significant difference between two groups. Hypothesis testing is a fundamental concept in data science and is used to make decisions based on data analysis.
