Hazard Ratio
Hazard Ratio is a statistical measure that compares the risk of an event occurring in two groups over time. In survival analysis, it is used to determine the effect of a particular treatment or intervention on the time it takes for an event of interest to occur. The hazard ratio is the ratio of the hazard rates between the two groups. The hazard rate is the rate at which events occur in a given time period, given that the event has not yet occurred. A hazard ratio of 1 indicates that there is no difference in the risk of the event occurring between the two groups. A hazard ratio greater than 1 indicates that the risk of the event occurring is higher in one group compared to the other, while a hazard ratio less than 1 indicates that the risk of the event occurring is lower in one group compared to the other.
