Standard Error
In statistics, the standard error is the standard deviation of the sampling distribution of a statistic. It measures the variability of the sample mean or proportion from multiple samples taken from the same population. The standard error is used to estimate the precision of the sample mean or proportion and to calculate confidence intervals. A smaller standard error indicates a more precise estimate of the population parameter. The formula for calculating the standard error depends on the type of statistic being used and the sample size.
