Promises

Promises are a programming construct used in asynchronous operations in which a function returns a promise to return a value in the future. The promise represents a proxy for the value that is not yet known, but will be resolved at some point in the future. Promises are commonly used in data science and artificial intelligence applications to handle asynchronous operations such as fetching data from a database or making API calls. Promises can be in one of three states: pending, fulfilled, or rejected. When a promise is fulfilled, it means that the operation was successful and the value is available. When a promise is rejected, it means that the operation failed and an error message is returned. Promises can be chained together to create a sequence of asynchronous operations that depend on each other.
