PCI
PCI stands for Payment Card Industry. It is a set of security standards created to ensure that all companies that accept, process, store or transmit credit card information maintain a secure environment. The PCI standards are designed to protect against credit card fraud, hacking and other security issues. Compliance with the PCI standards is mandatory for all merchants who accept credit card payments. The standards are divided into six categories, each with its own set of requirements: Build and Maintain a Secure Network, Protect Cardholder Data, Maintain a Vulnerability Management Program, Implement Strong Access Control Measures, Regularly Monitor and Test Networks, and Maintain an Information Security Policy.
