Low-level Language
A low-level language is a programming language that provides little or no abstraction from a computer's instruction set architecture. It is designed to operate and handle the computer's hardware directly. Low-level languages are closer to machine language and are more difficult to read and write than high-level languages. They are used to write operating systems, device drivers, and other system software that require direct access to the hardware. Examples of low-level languages include assembly language and machine language.
