Control Unit
In the context of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, a Control Unit refers to the component of a computer's central processing unit (CPU) that manages the flow of data within the processor. It is responsible for fetching instructions from memory, decoding them, and then directing the operation of the processor's arithmetic logic unit (ALU) to execute the instructions. The Control Unit also manages the transfer of data between the CPU and other components of the computer, such as input/output devices and memory. In essence, the Control Unit acts as the brain of the CPU, coordinating and controlling all of its operations.
