Attribute-based Access Control
Attribute-based Access Control (ABAC) is a security model that uses attributes to determine access to resources. In ABAC, access control decisions are based on attributes of the user, resource, and environment. Attributes can include user roles, job titles, department, location, time of day, and many other factors. ABAC policies are defined using a set of rules that specify which attributes are required for access to a resource. These rules can be very complex and can include logical operators, regular expressions, and other advanced features. ABAC is a flexible and powerful access control model that can be used to enforce complex security policies in a variety of environments.
