Relational Databases
Relational databases are a type of database management system (DBMS) that stores data in tables with rows and columns, where each row represents a unique record and each column represents a data attribute of that record. The relationships between tables are defined by common fields, which are used to join tables together to retrieve related data. Relational databases use Structured Query Language (SQL) to manipulate and query data. They are widely used in data-driven applications, such as customer relationship management (CRM), enterprise resource planning (ERP), and financial systems. Relational databases provide a high level of data integrity and consistency, as well as scalability and performance optimization through indexing and partitioning.
