Amazon Elastic File System (Amazon EFS) is a scalable, fully managed, cloud-native, NFS file storage service provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS). It is designed to provide scalable storage for Linux-based workloads and applications. Amazon EFS provides a simple, scalable, and highly available file system for use with Amazon EC2 instances in the AWS Cloud. It is built to scale on demand to petabytes without disrupting applications, growing and shrinking automatically as you add and remove files, eliminating the need to provision and manage capacity to accommodate growth. Amazon EFS is designed to provide high availability and durability through storing copies of files and directories across multiple Availability Zones within a region. It also provides strong data consistency guarantees, allowing multiple instances to access the same file system concurrently.
